Product Description
\nKsitigarbha
\nIn Japanese Buddhism, Ksitigarbha is the bodhisattva of the earth. He is regarded as a protector of children and travelers, and a rescuer of beings in hell. He is also seen as a guardian of the souls of children who pass away before their parents. Ksitigarbha vowed to guide all beings in the six worlds between the death of Gautama Buddha and the rise of Maitreya, and not to attain Buddhahood until all hells are empty. The Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva instills confidence, blesses the living to live in peace, and blesses the souls after death, leading them to goodness.
\n\"Liuli\" refers to ancient Chinese glass/crystal, with a history dating back thousands of years, first emerging in the 11th century BC.
\nThe raw materials for Liuli are silicates and metallic oxides found in nature. After high - temperature melting, they are made into rods of various sizes, softened over a flame, and then hand - crafted into final products. Unlike glaze, Liuli artworks have no molds, and each one is unique, a result of the craftsmen's improvisation. Compared to glass, Liuli artworks have a lower melting point, making them more vibrant. Creating perfect Liuli requires both skill and luck.
